Plumbing Leak in Eastwood

Jan yawned and squinted in the darkness. It’s not morning yet, go to sleep, she told herself. She fluffed her pillow and rolled over to try and make herself more comfortable.

Jan relaxed her body and allowed her mind to relax and drift back to sleep. She could hear her husband snoring softly beside her, which didn’t bother her. Suddenly Jan’s ears focused on a noise coming from down the hall. “Drip, Drip, Drip,” it continued. She realised someone must have left the tap on and reluctantly got out of bed.

She tiptoed down the hall and felt around for the tap in the darkness. She quickly gave up, and turned on the light. That’s better, she thought. Before her, she could see water droplets lining the sink from the dripping. Jan tightened the faucet but was surprised to find that it was as tight as it could possibly go. She tried again but this time used all the force, she could muster, but the dripping persisted. “Oh drats!” she muttered. She realised that she had better call a plumber first thing in the morning. Jan made her way back to bed but found it nearly impossible to fall asleep, due to the dripping.

The next morning, she awoke to the sound of a car door closing. She changed into some day clothes and exited the room. Jan saw that she had slept in and that it was now almost lunch. She caught sight of her husband, in the lounge and he greeted her warmly. The sound of their doorbell then echoed through their Eastwood home. “That must be the plumber,” her husband stated. Jan was confused because she hadn’t called a plumber. Her husband explained that he noticed the dripping that morning and called a plumbing group that were renowned for efficient service in the Eastwood area. He also added that they serviced West Ryde, Ryde, East Ryde, North Ryde, Epping, Denistone, Dundas and the Hills District.

Jan was impressed that they were able to turn up at such short notice. She was relieved because she didn’t think she could stand another night of the relentless dripping. She showed the plumber to the pesky tap and elaborated on the situation. The dark shadows, under her eyes, gave away that the leak had kept her up. The plumber was courteous and sympathetic. He said that the taps would require replacing and assured her that she would have a better sleep that night. He supplied her with a quote and Jan gladly told him to continue with the replacement.

After a short while, Jan returned to the kitchen to see that the sink now adorned shiny new faucets. The plumber demonstrated the absence of dripping and Jan couldn’t be happier.
